Tucked into an acre of private gardens and grounds in the prestigious Sandy Lane Estates on the island of Barbados is the Villa Dene Court. Though it is appealing for its location, which is considered one of the best, if not the very best, address on Barbados, it can easily be your only destination during your stay. Offering a full staff that includes a private cook and housekeeping team, it features such amenities as an enormous, private pool, multiple outdoor dining spaces, luxurious interiors and bedrooms designed as private retreats.

A stay at this Sandy Lane Estate villa rewards you with the benefits of membership in the Sandy Lane Property Owners' Association. This entitles you to the use of the Sandy Lane Hotel facilities, which include the use of the Sandy Lane Beach Club. This features cabanas with baths, bar facilities, and generously sized beach chairs and umbrellas. A stay also provides visitors free use of the Owners’ Association tennis courts.

Yet, it will be your beautiful villa that beckons. The pool sits in the midst of the gorgeous gardens and backs up to a verandah that features a full outdoor lounge and a gorgeous al fresco dining space. A more casual dining suite rests at the opposite end and graceful arches lead you indoors. The great room easily lives up to its name and feature cathedral ceilings with balconies, gorgeous, modern style and spaces that include the living room, formal dining suite, and the enormous gourmet kitchen.

There are two master suites on this property and they feature private baths, patios and amazing views. There are two additional king suites with private baths and queen suite, as well. All feature Wi-Fi and premium electronics.

The neighborhood was phenomenal beautifully landscaped and very peaceful. Charming home excellent service by both the cook and maid service. Very professional staff and goes the extra mile for the guest. I’m definitely going back there and hope to get in there again.

As a family of 10 spending Christmas and New Year in Barbados Dene Court could not of been a more ideal choice. This was home from home cleanliness and comfort with the perfect location. The staff, from the chef to the gardener are all friendly, hard working and willing to help when needed. The bedrooms are all comfortable and the bathrooms spotless. Richard the chef creates wonderful meals breakfast, lunch and dinner if needed. Dene Court also has the benefit of Winston the security guard each night. We are looking forward to our next visit to Barbados and would not hesitate to book Dene Court again.

My family and I stayed for two weeks at Dene Court in Sandy Lane, and I can say without hesitation that our expectations were not only met but exceeded. The property is incredibly spacious, it manages to be both colonial in style, whilst incorporating all modern luxuries (in particular the master suite and all the en-suite bathrooms).

We were looked after by Richard and Janelle, who were extremely friendly, discrete and left us feeling very spoilt. Richard, the chef, talked to us about our food preferences, came shopping with us, and then cooked some fantastic meals that would not be out of place in a top restaurant. Winston, the night security guard, was friendly, a great source of local knowledge and always willing to help with any queries we had.

We had a 5 month old baby with us, and I had expected this to be a more challenging holiday, but the agents and staff made every aspect stress free. No small task!

The gardens are large, immaculately maintained and a pleasure to walk around, especially first thing in the morning with a coffee. The property is well located in Sandy Lane and we made good use of the private beach, that the Sandy Lane property owners have use of, this had also just been renovated to include a large lounge area and bar.

Overall, the house, Richard, Janelle, and Winston made this an amazing holiday. Having been to the caribbean a dozen times this is most luxurious holiday we have ever had, and we will definitely be looking to come back soon.

My husband and I have enjoyed yet another amazing stay at this beautiful property. Our stay was made comfortable and relaxing by the surroundings and Janelle and Richard. Winston went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and nothing was to much trouble. The house is well equipped ,clean and with a great pool. It was a perfect base for exploring the island and coming back home in the evening to a relaxed cocktail before dinner. We were close to excellent restaurants .... The recently refurbished Tides restaurant is worth a visit. The beach at sandy Lane never ceases to deliver. We look forward to our next trip to Dene Court. Thank you for a memorable trip.

The time spent at Dene Court truly exceeded our expectations and will surely be a family vacation we'll never forget. The service provided by the Villa staff (Richard, Janelle, Elizabeth and Winston) allowed our party of ten to unwind, refresh, and make the most of our time together. Upon arrival, we were cheerfully greeted with cold towels to help offset the heat. The property manager walked us through the accommodations and gave us a tour of the stunning property. The five bedrooms, each with its own ensuite, were clean and beautifully maintained. The open-concept living quarters provided curated areas that could flex between quiet reading to board game group fun. Grounds were well-landscaped, which beautifully nestled the property and provided a lush, intimate environment. The pool was clean and large enough to be enjoyed by all - young and old. Throughout our stay, Janelle and Elizabeth ensured that the villa was cleaned daily and clothing left in room hampers were laundered and ironed. Each day Richard prepared delicious local dishes and graciously accommodated our request throughout the week. Our favorite meal was the Bajan Cou-Cou and Flying Fish which he went with us to the fish market to buy fresh. He was sure to have an option for the children who were not ready to be as adventurous (much enjoyed pasta). The property was guarded every evening from 6pm-6am by Winston who was friendly and added more piece of mind. Dene Court is definitely a place we'd love to return to for future vacations!

We have stayed at Dene Court now on a number of occasions and this time with the family and friends, including a young baby. Once again we all had a wonderful, relaxing holiday.

The house is very comfortable. The five bedrooms are all tastefully decorated and each with an ensuite bathroom and air conditioning. The inside and outside living areas are spacious and plenty of sitting areas. Janelle and Elizabeth both quietly worked very hard each day keeping the house clean, changing the beds and washing and ironing all our clothes. They quietly cleared up after us each time we were out. Janelle also helped with serving and clearing dinner when required.

Richard the chef was excellent. We talked to him about meals and recipes, took him to the supermarket to shop and picked up a variety of fish that he had ordered from Paynes Bay fish market which he then served in a variety of delicious dishes. We ate at the house most days for breakfast, lunch and dinner and his meals were varied and very tasty. Everything that we bought was used creatively for different meals. He was very flexible about our indecision on meal times and numbers for meals and just worked around it. There was always a pot of tea ready early in the morning and rum punch in the evening. Even the baby had little pots of fresh fruit or vegetables prepared each day. Nothing was too much trouble.

Winston the security guard was always there in the evening and overnight. He was helpful and interested in our day.

We all made full use of the large pool and there was always a plentiful supply of towels for the pool and beach. The gardens were spacious and well looked after.

We used the Sandy Lane Owners Beach and sun loungers on many occasions for swimming, snorkelling and various boat trips. Richard would also make up a box of goodies to take for sundowners on the beach.

Another lovely holiday at Dene Court. Thanks - we will be back.

I stayed as a guest at Dene Court

The villa was beautiful and very comfortable

It was always kept clean and the linen was clean and regularly changed

The staff were helpful and always there to help

An added bonus was the laundry was always done and returned to you and was included in the cost of the rental

The gardens were well kept and were very pleasant to sit in

It was really good to have the private beach facility at the Sandy Lane Property Owners Beach

The beach attendants were very helpful and it was good to have the loungers and umbrellas to use

Altogether a very special holiday and I will definitely be returning

Common Questions
Do we share the villa? click to close
No. You will not share the villa with another party. The villa is exclusively yours. If a larger villa offers a lower bedroom rate category, the villa will remain exclusively yours but the unrented bedrooms will be locked off.
For example, a 5 bedroom villa that offers a 3 bedroom rate will be the exclusive use of the guest but two bedrooms and their en-suite bathrooms will be locked off. Capacity is capped at 2 guests per bedroom.

Yes. Barbados Blue stands behind you throughout your entire vacation. Unlike other companies, each property we offer has been hand picked to ensure that our standards are met. All property managers are vetted and payments are required to be held in escrow. Our primary obligation is to ensure your satisfaction and to have an exceptionally memorable vacation.
Can you explain the reservation process? click to open
Once a reservation request is received, Barbados Blue will request a contract from the property manager for your dates of interest. Once the dates are confirmed and contract is received from the property manager, a payment will be required to confirm your reservation.
Once a reservation is confirmed, a concierge will welcome you to the planning stages of your vacation to assist with arrival logistics, rental cars, transfers, and a host of concierge services.
Can we arrange an early check in? click to open
Early check in may be possible but is at the sole discretion of the property manager. Early check in permission may not be granted until 24 hours prior to arrival.
Can we arrange a late check out? click to open
A late check out is rarely granted due to the turnover needs of a villa. A late check out may only be granted 24 hours prior to your departure from the property and only when there is no check in scheduled on the day of your check out. If a late check out is urgently needed please contact us.
Are transfers to the property included? click to open
Select villas may include a one way or roundtrip airport transfer while others may provide an escort or meeting point. Arrival logistics will be handled by your dedicated concierge as well as other concierge needs. The property's transfer policy will be listed under the Policies section.

In general, a villa orientation will be provided along with a key turnover. During the orientation, information and instructions for the property will be provided. Emergency contact information will be provided. We are available 7 days a week to assist with any urgent needs.
The arrival procedures due vary from villa to villa, select villas may include welcome provisioning while other properties will provide basic arrival information.

What happens if the property becomes unavailable after I reserve? click to open
In the unlikely event, the rented property becomes unavailable due to a major issue that may affect a guest's experience or a transfer of ownership, Barbados Blue will coordinate with the property manager to find an alternate property of equal or superior standard that is subject to the guest's approval. If an alternate property is not acceptable to the guest, the guest will receive a full refund.

Yes, we accept all major credit cards. American Express, Visa, Mastercard and Discover are accepted. Please note that credit card charges may be subject to additional fees. There are no fees with payment by wire transfer or check.

Housekeeping tends to be a standard among vacation homes but the frequency may vary greatly depending on the property manager’s standards. Most properties will offer daily housekeeping (except Sunday and holidays) while other villas may only provide a mid-week cleaning. Please refer to the Staff section to learn about the housekeeping frequency of the property.

Yes. The property will provide bath and pool towels along with linens. Towels and linens will be refreshed as needed.

A property may supply an initial supply of soap, shampoo, toilet paper and paper towels but replenishment of supplies once exhausted may be the responsibility of the guest. Each property varies in their handling of toiletries and paper products.
Is a hair dryer available? click to open
A hair dryer should be available at the property. Upon arrival, please check the bathrooms or closet. Typically, a hair dryer is included in each bathroom.

Typically yes, irons tend to be standard equipment for vacation homes. Please ask the property representative upon orientation for the location of the iron.

IMPORTANT: Bars cannot be set up on the deck or gazebo as the tiles are soft stone so will stain if anything spills and dancing in heels can damage them also.  Bar to be set up on the grass

Terms and conditions:
The villa does not allow unregistered guests to stay overnight. Overnight guests are restricted to 2 guests per rented bedroom and must be declared. Guests are responsible for the set-up and clean-up of the event. The event may not occur within 24 hours of departure. For example, with Saturday departure guests must hold the event on Thursday or sooner. Guests must abide by local ordinances.
