Villa Solandra on Barbados, nestled on the enchanting Sandy Lane Estate in Barbados, is a hidden gem ensconced in a meticulously manicured garden, cocooned by majestic mahogany trees atop a serene hillside.

Strategically positioned approximately 1.25 miles away from any bustling disturbances, this idyllic retreat benefits from a prime location, graced with invigorating sea breezes and awe-inspiring vistas that encompass the picturesque Caribbean Sea. Inside, the villa boasts understated yet tasteful decor in its generously proportioned living and dining areas, adorned with contemporary furnishings.

This splendid property comprises three air-conditioned en suite bedrooms, with the master bedroom featuring a luxurious king-sized bed. Both the master bedroom and the third bedroom on the lower level are equipped with tub/shower combinations. Each bedroom graciously opens onto the terrace, offering direct access to the inviting 40-foot swimming pool. Guests can also indulge in a range of amenities, including access to an exclusive beach cabana, golfing opportunities, high-speed internet access, and coveted ocean views.

For your convenience, please note that Bedroom 3 provides direct access to the pool and deck area. The services of a night watchman are available upon request from 6 pm to 6 am at a rate of USD$13 per hour and are not included in the nightly rental fee.

To start your stay on a delightful note, we extend a warm welcome with complimentary fish cakes and a refreshing rum punch upon your arrival.

You overall property was absolutely gorgeous. The property itself is rather old and quaint. A few updates would make the property just perfect. There was no air-conditioning in the master bathroom, which made it very difficult to cool down. There’s also limited air condition in the rest of the house. A list of local restaurants and supermarkets left in the Villa would be helpful. I recognize that there is a concierge but it would but be more efficient if you left some recommendations. They should also include emergency, phone numbers and contact information for the people supporting the house. finally, while we didn’t spend a lot of time watching TV. It is important that we stay connected towards going on in the world. The channel availability and access to other things like Netflix and prime time we’re not available. I think this would be a minor upgrade and provide a better experience overall.
We went to two great restaurants, I’ll Tempio and Lone Star. The food and atmosphere was great at both of those establishments. We also had lunch at the Sandy Lane hotel, and was very disappointed by both the quality of food and the cost.
We took advantage of two excursions the surf and turf, monkey tour and a half day cruise. Both were excellent and I would highly recommend them.

Common Questions
Do we share the villa? click to close
No. You will not share the villa with another party. The villa is exclusively yours. If a larger villa offers a lower bedroom rate category, the villa will remain exclusively yours but the unrented bedrooms will be locked off.
For example, a 5 bedroom villa that offers a 3 bedroom rate will be the exclusive use of the guest but two bedrooms and their en-suite bathrooms will be locked off. Capacity is capped at 2 guests per bedroom.

Yes. Barbados Blue stands behind you throughout your entire vacation. Unlike other companies, each property we offer has been hand picked to ensure that our standards are met. All property managers are vetted and payments are required to be held in escrow. Our primary obligation is to ensure your satisfaction and to have an exceptionally memorable vacation.
Can you explain the reservation process? click to open
Once a reservation request is received, Barbados Blue will request a contract from the property manager for your dates of interest. Once the dates are confirmed and contract is received from the property manager, a payment will be required to confirm your reservation.
Once a reservation is confirmed, a concierge will welcome you to the planning stages of your vacation to assist with arrival logistics, rental cars, transfers, and a host of concierge services.
Can we arrange an early check in? click to open
Early check in may be possible but is at the sole discretion of the property manager. Early check in permission may not be granted until 24 hours prior to arrival.
Can we arrange a late check out? click to open
A late check out is rarely granted due to the turnover needs of a villa. A late check out may only be granted 24 hours prior to your departure from the property and only when there is no check in scheduled on the day of your check out. If a late check out is urgently needed please contact us.
Are transfers to the property included? click to open
Select villas may include a one way or roundtrip airport transfer while others may provide an escort or meeting point. Arrival logistics will be handled by your dedicated concierge as well as other concierge needs. The property's transfer policy will be listed under the Policies section.
What to expect upon arrival? click to open
In general, a villa orientation will be provided along with a key turnover. During the orientation, information and instructions for the property will be provided. Emergency contact information will be provided. We are available 7 days a week to assist with any urgent needs.
The arrival procedures due vary from villa to villa, select villas may include welcome provisioning while other properties will provide basic arrival information.

Since these vacation homes are one of a kind properties, the cancellation policy is strict. We highly recommend considering trip/travel insurance to protect against any unexpected cancellations or issues that may arise.

What happens if the property becomes unavailable after I reserve? click to open
In the unlikely event, the rented property becomes unavailable due to a major issue that may affect a guest's experience or a transfer of ownership, Barbados Blue will coordinate with the property manager to find an alternate property of equal or superior standard that is subject to the guest's approval. If an alternate property is not acceptable to the guest, the guest will receive a full refund.

Yes, we accept all major credit cards. American Express, Visa, Mastercard and Discover are accepted. Please note that credit card charges may be subject to additional fees. There are no fees with payment by wire transfer or check.

Is housekeeping included? click to open
Housekeeping tends to be a standard among vacation homes but the frequency may vary greatly depending on the property manager’s standards. Most properties will offer daily housekeeping (except Sunday and holidays) while other villas may only provide a mid-week cleaning. Please refer to the Staff section to learn about the housekeeping frequency of the property.

Yes. The property will provide bath and pool towels along with linens. Towels and linens will be refreshed as needed.
Are toiletries and tissues provided? click to open
A property may supply an initial supply of soap, shampoo, toilet paper and paper towels but replenishment of supplies once exhausted may be the responsibility of the guest. Each property varies in their handling of toiletries and paper products.
Is a hair dryer available? click to open
A hair dryer should be available at the property. Upon arrival, please check the bathrooms or closet. Typically, a hair dryer is included in each bathroom.

"I wanted to say a huge thank you to you both for all your help with booking our recent stay at Forest Hills 25 Royal Westmoreland. We had a fabulous holiday and this was due to a huge extent by the quality of the villa. We spent quite a bit of time looking at the options available and we chose Forest Hills 25 due to location , facilities and based on the photos. There was a slight concern before we arrived whether the villa would live up to the photos but it’s fair to say the villa in real life exceeded our expectations. The villa is beautifully decorated and all the furnishings are of a very high standard. The villa is very well equipped (blender for home made pina coladas!). The bathrooms are very modern and all beds bedding linen etc very high quality. Everything was provided that we needed - down to beach towels for the pool, all kitchen equipment and great storage space for unpacking all our holiday wardrobes. One of the aspects that really made it for us in particular was the separate apartment which our 15 year old son loved as having his own space meant he could maintain his love of a long lie! And my husband still can’t stop talking about the TV package - on the few nights we stayed in there was plenty available to keep us entertained. We made use of all the facilities at Royal Westmoreland- great rum sours at the Rum Shack. And the boys loved having their own private pool just outside the villa! The weather was hot and on a few days a bit stormy so having a lovely villa to come home to really made a difference. We only saw Anne the housekeeper twice during our visit but she was very helpful and helped keep everything clean and tidy. Sally's welcome and farewell service was much appreciated and even though we only had 1 query Sally responded so quickly with an offer to help. The service from Barbados Blue before arriving was exceptional with lots of helpful information and answers to all our questions. We last visited Barbados 15 years ago but we are not intending to wait that long again to return to Barbados and fully intend to book Forest Hills 25 again. We have already recommended it to lots of friends. If I was going to provide any constructive feedback it would be to the owners in relation to their Royal Westmoreland membership. I imagine that few people like us bring tennis racquets on holiday and the rental they charge for racquets is very expensive for an hour. We did also make use of the facilities at the Beach Club and while the beach is beautiful and we had some lovely days there, the service is not the most friendly and efficient compared to other places. I would love it if you could pass on our feedback to the villa owners so they know what a great time we had. Thank you again for all your help."
