Nomade, Westmoreland Hills, Barbados.
In beautiful Barbados, hiding away in the Westmoreland Hills is a stylish villa with Aboriginal decor that offers guests resort amenities, beach club access, a private and club pool, and of course, ocean views. Villa Nomade brings some wild nomadic-indigenous chic to the Westmoreland Hills in Barbados.
With four bedrooms and five bathrooms, Villa Nomade sleeps eight guests. One bedroom is a king that features a large area rug donning black and white indigenous designs. The bedspread matches this while woven grass-panel headboard speaks to woven grass baskets that decorate the walls. A balcony with seating and ocean views as well as a gorgeous basin tub and spacious shower are some other comforts. Each bedroom is air-conditioned with wi-fi, ceiling fans, and ocean views. Each also has an en-suite bathroom with a shower, vanity, and water closet.
The pool lounge space features a similar, patterned area rug with sofas that are made of gray cord with thick gray cushions and red accent pillows overlooking the pool terrace and ocean beyond. A coffee table and decorative side table made of whole, polished driftwood add warmth, beauty, and natural texture to the space.
On the veranda, a driftwood table with white, wrought-iron lamp accents awaits a catered gourmet dinner enjoyed alfresco with sunset views. An in-house chef can be arranged, along with in-villa spa treatments, private charters, cars, and other such bookings by complimentary concierges—experts in hospitality and luxury accommodations.
Eight gray poolside loungers, with rust-red beach towels and matching shade parasols, are set up beside the pool overlooking the ocean. Access to the Royal Westmoreland Resort also offers amenities like a community pool, fitness center, beach club, golf course, and restaurant. Villa Nomade is ideal for large groups or families with a social nature, although it also offers every courtesy in terms of privacy.
A small writing nook in the main living space features teak wood shelves, warm lighting, and tasteful statuettes or baubles from around the world while an office with display shelves on a desk and a thinking couch encourage quiet moments of occasional introversion while a few bar stools at the kitchen island are a good place for intimate conversation over wine and hors d’oeuvres. The kitchen is all white with steel appliances, but palm frond lampshades warm it up with an island-chill vibe.
