Accidental Damage Protection

Barbados Blue provides an Accidental Damage Protection (ADP) plan for a nominal fee to cover damage claims arising from your vacation home rental. Nothing can ruin a vacation faster than an accident damaging a costly piece of furniture at your vacation rental, saddling guests with a significant unexpected cost that can cost thousands of dollars. With our ADP plan, you can rest easy and be assured that you are well taken care of. Claims will be seamlessly handled directly between the property representative and our company to cover the cost of repair or replacement up to the designated coverage amount. Additionally, for your greater convenience, the ADP replaces the requirement to submit a damage deposit required by vacation home properties.

Policy Details

  1. No deductible is required.
  2. Plan is non-refundable and non-transferrable.
  3. Limited to one Accidental Damage Protection plan per vacation rental reservation.
  4. Damage must occur within the designated lease agreement date period.
  5. Accidental Damage Protection plan must be bought at least 48 hours prior to arrival.
  6. Barbados Blue reserves the right to refute, contest or negotiate damage claims upon your behalf. Claims by manager or guest must be verified and may require an affidavit from involved parties.
  7. Guest is responsible for claims in excess of coverage.
  8. Accidental Damage Protection plan does not cover claims in the following situations:
    • Intentional damage or gross negligence
    • Damage incurred in violation of the lease agreement
    • Damage caused by third party, pets, unauthorized guests, or during an unauthorized event
    • Does not cover theft, fire, inclement weather, or natural disaster
    • Does not cover theft, loss or damage of personal effects by you or registered guests.
    • Claim must be related to the real and documented property of the vacation home
    • Excess cleaning costs
  9. Claim from property manager must be submitted to Barbados Blue for direct handling and investigation. Claim by property manager must be substantiated by verifiable evidence, receipts and billing. The protection policy will cover the lessor of the replacement or repair cost of the damaged item up to the designated insurance amount. Any amounts over the designated insurance amount will be the responsible of the lessor.

"The villa was absolutely perfect - and just like the photos. It was great being right on the beach - and the outdoor areas, including the plunge pool, were lovely. There were a few heavy rain showers (not unexpected at this time of year) and it was great to be able to still sit outside on an airy but covered veranda. Carole (housekeeper) and Angela (cook) were helpful. The villa was thoroughly cleaned, beds made etc. promptly and laundry was returned within the day. The food was somewhat limited (chicken or flying fish) but always really well prepared with nice vegetables, salads etc."
