Villa Alila Barbados. Villa Alila on Sandy Lane is built with a flowing open plan design, each room leads on to another and each offers a glimpse of the breathtaking view. As you enter the grounds a lovely fountain greets you and as you walk through the entrance to the villa you are further soothed by oriental koi ponds gracing either side of the wooden walkway.

A large raised dining area that comfortably seats ten also includes a full wall water feature and is open along one side allowing for glorious views as you dine. The dining area leads down to a comfortable seating area, also open along one side offering views of the pool area, which in turn leads to a second comfortable seating area where you can relax with a little music or a movie.

Alila provides four large bedrooms each of which has an en suite bathroom and air conditioning. Three of the bedrooms are found on the lower level of the property. The master suite, which encompasses the whole upper level, is pure indulgence with an ornately decorated double bathroom containing a lavish walk in shower that leads out onto the private patio containing an amazing outdoor tub. The private patio overlooks the pool area and gazebo and offers one of the best views from the property, with a gully (one of Barbados' stunning features) running along the north side and the coast to the west.

For the truly outdoor experience there is a stunning raised gazebo that is positioned above the pool giving the most outstanding views of the West Coast. A beautiful wooden bridge built over the large infinity pool leads you to the gazebo which offers a wonderful view all around and provides the perfect outdoor dining area.

The property is equipped with the most modern appliances and up-to-date technology including the fully equipped large kitchen with granite surfaces, iPod docks in each room and modern security features. With the open plan design and modern fittings, beautifully landscaped gardens, infinity pool and raised gazebo and the exceptional view this property is a truly stunning tropical paradise.

Wonderful stay at Villa Alila in Jan '24. It's extremely comfortable and beautifully designed in a Balanese style. The staff are amazing, led by Cheryl and Jo, with nothing too much trouble. Cheryl's cooking is fantastic with a huge repetoire of local dishes on offer. Her cooked breakfasts are legendary! We had a 3 month old with us and the layout of the bedrooms worked a treat, with two groundfloor rooms with a shaded terrace just a few steps away from the pool. Easy access to Holetown, the nicest town on the island in my view, with losts of great restaurants, bars, shopping etc. Can highly recommend Villa Alila

Isle Blue handled the booking process with great efficiency, from initial reservation right through to car hire. Their concierge service was very responsive. Highly recommended

We have just spent an amazing week at Villa Alila. The Villa is beautiful with gorgeous gardens and amazing pool. The photos do not do the villa justice. However it is the staff at the villa that really impressed us. Jasmine and Natasha kept the villa spotless and ensured we had a vacation where we truly did nothing. They even did our laundry so we came back with all clean clothes!

Chef Paul cooked delicious meals for us and he was so flexible with the dishes and the likes and dislikes of our group. We asked to try Bajan food and it was great to try something new and acquire new recipes and knowledge. We had really delicious, home cooked dishes. Breakfasts were a masterpiece, a feast which we managed to finish every time. We also appreciated the level of flexibility of Jasmine and Paul as we didn't stick to the same schedule but they always moved mealtimes around to fit with us.

The Villa also comes with a beach Cabana at Sandy Lane beach - bliss. The most relaxing vacation ever!

The Fantastic Villa is perched on the top of the hill which encourages a gentle breeze most of the day, the staff who were on site from 8 in the morning until 8 in the evening were very friendly nothing was to much trouble for them, Paul the chef makes a mean Rum Punch which was enjoyed on the Beach at the Sandy Lane Resort there is a private Beach Hut which houses a fridge there are immaculate wc facilities a private bar everything you could need we traveled with 3 young children so made good use of the buckets and spades, even the beach boys that looked after the sunbeds were a credit to the tourist industry in Barbados. we are frequent visitors to the island and have experienced probably all types of accommodation from posh hotels to all inclusive and apartments but this is the way to live, possibly only downside was having to shop for meals which Paul expertly turned into fine cuisine dishes. We managed to catch 5 Tuna fishing with a local lad from the beach near to the Surf side Bar which we then enjoyed for several meals. Would return in a heartbeat lets hope theirs time.

We're back from our stay at Alila only 4 days, and given the chance, we'd turn on our heels and go right back. Alila is everything you see in the pictures, and more. Surrounded by THE most lush, fabulous landscaping, this villa is magical, serene and perfect to the last tiny detail. From the substantial gate to the incredible front door, to the outdoor breezeway surrounded by koi ponds, to the beautiful indoor/outdoor living and dining rooms, to the infinity edge mosaic pool overlooking the 'jungle' to the separate gazebo, media room, air conditioned 'suites' and massive, incredible master bedroom suite/floor, there was no detail overlooked here. Like a miniature 5 diamond hotel, Alila sparkles from every angle day to night. If there was a flaw, I'd find it; but there was none. The "more" here are the staff: our Chef (Paul) and Housekeeper (Jasmine) were there when we needed them, and discretely not there when we didn't. They anticipated every move, Paul even coming to the beach (several minutes away) with trays of food for us, with a giant smile on his face. We took a few walks through Sandy Lane Estates to get a peek at other villas, but none compared to Alila. NONE. I could go on and on. We'll be going back...not sure when, but once you've seen Alila...well...

The online description was very good however on arriving and staying at the villa there were many features that could not be described on the web site. It is very peaceful and welcoming given the architecture and the furnishings and art items. The pool area and outdoor eating area are truly a major plus.

Common Questions
Do we share the villa? click to close
No. You will not share the villa with another party. The villa is exclusively yours. If a larger villa offers a lower bedroom rate category, the villa will remain exclusively yours but the unrented bedrooms will be locked off.
For example, a 5 bedroom villa that offers a 3 bedroom rate will be the exclusive use of the guest but two bedrooms and their en-suite bathrooms will be locked off. Capacity is capped at 2 guests per bedroom.

Yes. Barbados Blue stands behind you throughout your entire vacation. Unlike other companies, each property we offer has been hand picked to ensure that our standards are met. All property managers are vetted and payments are required to be held in escrow. Our primary obligation is to ensure your satisfaction and to have an exceptionally memorable vacation.
Can you explain the reservation process? click to open
Once a reservation request is received, Barbados Blue will request a contract from the property manager for your dates of interest. Once the dates are confirmed and contract is received from the property manager, a payment will be required to confirm your reservation.
Once a reservation is confirmed, a concierge will welcome you to the planning stages of your vacation to assist with arrival logistics, rental cars, transfers, and a host of concierge services.
Can we arrange an early check in? click to open
Early check in may be possible but is at the sole discretion of the property manager. Early check in permission may not be granted until 24 hours prior to arrival.
Can we arrange a late check out? click to open
A late check out is rarely granted due to the turnover needs of a villa. A late check out may only be granted 24 hours prior to your departure from the property and only when there is no check in scheduled on the day of your check out. If a late check out is urgently needed please contact us.
Are transfers to the property included? click to open
Select villas may include a one way or roundtrip airport transfer while others may provide an escort or meeting point. Arrival logistics will be handled by your dedicated concierge as well as other concierge needs. The property's transfer policy will be listed under the Policies section.
What to expect upon arrival? click to open
In general, a villa orientation will be provided along with a key turnover. During the orientation, information and instructions for the property will be provided. Emergency contact information will be provided. We are available 7 days a week to assist with any urgent needs.
The arrival procedures due vary from villa to villa, select villas may include welcome provisioning while other properties will provide basic arrival information.

Since these vacation homes are one of a kind properties, the cancellation policy is strict. We highly recommend considering trip/travel insurance to protect against any unexpected cancellations or issues that may arise.

What happens if the property becomes unavailable after I reserve? click to open
In the unlikely event, the rented property becomes unavailable due to a major issue that may affect a guest's experience or a transfer of ownership, Barbados Blue will coordinate with the property manager to find an alternate property of equal or superior standard that is subject to the guest's approval. If an alternate property is not acceptable to the guest, the guest will receive a full refund.

Housekeeping tends to be a standard among vacation homes but the frequency may vary greatly depending on the property manager’s standards. "I wanted to say a huge thank you to you both for all your help with booking our recent stay at Forest Hills 25 Royal Westmoreland. We had a fabulous holiday and this was due to a huge extent by the quality of the villa. We spent quite a bit of time looking at the options available and we chose Forest Hills 25 due to location , facilities and based on the photos. There was a slight concern before we arrived whether the villa would live up to the photos but it’s fair to say the villa in real life exceeded our expectations. The villa is beautifully decorated and all the furnishings are of a very high standard. The villa is very well equipped (blender for home made pina coladas!). The bathrooms are very modern and all beds bedding linen etc very high quality. Everything was provided that we needed - down to beach towels for the pool, all kitchen equipment and great storage space for unpacking all our holiday wardrobes. One of the aspects that really made it for us in particular was the separate apartment which our 15 year old son loved as having his own space meant he could maintain his love of a long lie! And my husband still can’t stop talking about the TV package - on the few nights we stayed in there was plenty available to keep us entertained. We made use of all the facilities at Royal Westmoreland- great rum sours at the Rum Shack. And the boys loved having their own private pool just outside the villa! The weather was hot and on a few days a bit stormy so having a lovely villa to come home to really made a difference. We only saw Anne the housekeeper twice during our visit but she was very helpful and helped keep everything clean and tidy. Sally's welcome and farewell service was much appreciated and even though we only had 1 query Sally responded so quickly with an offer to help. The service from Barbados Blue before arriving was exceptional with lots of helpful information and answers to all our questions. We last visited Barbados 15 years ago but we are not intending to wait that long again to return to Barbados and fully intend to book Forest Hills 25 again. We have already recommended it to lots of friends. If I was going to provide any constructive feedback it would be to the owners in relation to their Royal Westmoreland membership. I imagine that few people like us bring tennis racquets on holiday and the rental they charge for racquets is very expensive for an hour. We did also make use of the facilities at the Beach Club and while the beach is beautiful and we had some lovely days there, the service is not the most friendly and efficient compared to other places. I would love it if you could pass on our feedback to the villa owners so they know what a great time we had. Thank you again for all your help."
