If a private, estate-like setting is what you need for an upcoming visit to Barbados, The Great House should appear at the top of your list. It is a seaside property set on expansive grounds and borrows its inspiration from the great houses of Europe. With more than two acres of gardens and grounds as well as an immense and private beach area, it would be ideal for a family gathering or small, destination event.
Recently renovated, the property includes a main house, a smaller house, and several cottages.
The list of amenities is immense and includes the grounds with their many gardens, ponds, and gazebos or outdoor living spaces. There are spaces to sunbathe and spots to play games, and there is also the beach. With private beach access, visitors can savor the delights of water sports as diverse as sea kayaking to snorkeling. There is gear for surfing and even an option for boating. There are tennis facilities and spa rooms, too.
The buildings all use unique styles with the Great House or main house emphasizing iconic Barbados design. The other property has an island flair, and includes a carriage house as well as cottages and another more modern home. The Great House is where most of the gathering may occur because it is where the home cinema is found, and where the enormous pool terrace awaits. Flanked with lounges and sun decks, it opens back into the verandah which opens to the graceful and welcoming interiors of the main house.
There is no limit to the amount of shared living space available, and guests will marvel at the beauty of the design and décor. The same will be said of each of the bedrooms, with all featuring luxury linens, access to outdoors, and private baths.

While available for advanced requests, the concierge team connects with guests 30 days prior to arrival to coordinate arrivals and to reserve desired services and experiences. Guests with scheduled Christmas/New Year stays will be contacted 90 days prior to arrival.
For example, a 5 bedroom villa that offers a 3 bedroom rate will be the exclusive use of the guest but two bedrooms and their en-suite bathrooms will be locked off. Capacity is capped at 2 guests per bedroom.

Rental rates:
The villa requires five nights minimum rental of the villa at the regular rental rates. The guests staying in-house will be covered by a per diem rate of US $150 per guest for all food and the guests attending the event will be charged depending on the menu.
Clients are also required to hire outside caterers as well as rent chairs, tables, tents, glasses, cutlery, and crockery.
Terms and conditions:
The villa does not allow unregistered guests to stay overnight. Overnight guests are restricted to the 2 guests per rented bedroom and must be declared. Guests are responsible for the set-up and clean up of the event. The event may not occur within 24 hours of departure. For example, with a Saturday departure guests must hold the event on Thursday or sooner. Guests must abide to local ordinances.
