Villa Monkey Hill Barbados. Located within the stunning Sugar Hill Estate on the western coast of Barbados, the Villa Monkey Hill is an unforgettable blend of stylish comfort and luxury island living along with access to truly premiere resort amenities.

The entire property promises stunning Caribbean views, and stretches over 50 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens and grounds. Guests have access to two enormous pools, a modern fitness center, the comprehensive Club House, a tennis club, members lounge, several beach clubs including one a Mullins Beach and Spa and the Royal Pavilion Beach, and the ever popular, open air restaurant.

Of course, the villa itself is so spacious and amenities-rich that you may find it unnecessary to step off your two acres of private gardens and grounds. It provides a main house and cottage, and is more than eight thousand square feet in overall size. It has an amazing location on a ridge overlooking the sea and the entire community. You can enjoy it from the shared terraces or the private, covered porticos.

The main living level features the expansive marble terrace with its oversized swimming pool, al fresco lounge and dining area, and covered terrace. This opens into the great room that features stunning design that includes rounded, cathedral ceilings and opulent banquet sofas. This opens into a smaller lounge and leads into the truly stunning kitchen. Equipped with the very best appliances, it features a breakfast bar and garden views.

The eight bedrooms are private paradises of their own and include themed suites such as the Reef, Alligator, Turtle and other rooms. They are divided between upper and lower floors and include junior and master suites. All feature private baths garden or terrace access, wonderful views and the same premium décor.

The Villa Monkey Hill is the ultimate island retreat and could be perfect for a smaller destination event or a large family or group get together.

The Cottage

In Summer, for cancellations greater than 61 days prior to arrival, 15% of the gross rental is forfeited. Cancellation 60 days or less, 100% of gross rental is forfeited. Please note all Christmas and New Years reservations are non-refundable.

For new bookings, the property manager is modifying the booking policy as follows :
~ 30% deposit / Balance due 45 days prior to arrival
~ Festive Period: 50% deposit / Balance due 75 days prior to arrival

For new bookings, the property manager is modifying the cancellation policy as follows :
~ If guests cancel the reservation more than 30 days prior to the arrival, 15% of the Gross Rental will be forfeited.
~ If guests cancel the reservation within 30 days of the arrival date, 100% of the Gross Rental will be forfeited and kept as a voucher credit for travel within 12 months from original booked date at the same villa.
~ If guests cancel the reservation falling within the Festive Season, 100% of the Gross Rental will be forfeited or kept as a voucher credit for travel within 12 months from original booked date in the same villa.

The Covid-19 Modified Cancellation Policy is applicable in the event that :

1. The Barbados government refuses passengers’ entry based on their origin (whether by residence, recent travel to a particular destination, or based on flight origin).
2. A Foreign government issues a specific travel ban to or from Barbados that prevents a guest from traveling.
3. A Foreign Commonwealth Office (FCO) Advisory against Barbados must exist.

Common Questions
Do we share the villa? click to close
No. You will not share the villa with another party. The villa is exclusively yours. If a larger villa offers a lower bedroom rate category, the villa will remain exclusively yours but the unrented bedrooms will be locked off.
For example, a 5 bedroom villa that offers a 3 bedroom rate will be the exclusive use of the guest but two bedrooms and their en-suite bathrooms will be locked off. Capacity is capped at 2 guests per bedroom.
Are we protected from fraud? click to open
Yes. Barbados Blue stands behind you throughout your entire vacation. Unlike other companies, each property we offer has been hand picked to ensure that our standards are met. All property managers are vetted and payments are required to be held in escrow. Our primary obligation is to ensure your satisfaction and to have an exceptionally memorable vacation.
Can you explain the reservation process? click to open
Once a reservation request is received, Barbados Blue will request a contract from the property manager for your dates of interest. Once the dates are confirmed and contract is received from the property manager, a payment will be required to confirm your reservation.
Once a reservation is confirmed, a concierge will welcome you to the planning stages of your vacation to assist with arrival logistics, rental cars, transfers, and a host of concierge services.
Can we arrange an early check in? click to open
Early check in may be possible but is at the sole discretion of the property manager. Early check in permission may not be granted until 24 hours prior to arrival.
Can we arrange a late check out? click to open
A late check out is rarely granted due to the turnover needs of a villa. A late check out may only be granted 24 hours prior to your departure from the property and only when there is no check in scheduled on the day of your check out. If a late check out is urgently needed please contact us.
Are transfers to the property included? click to open
Select villas may include a one way or roundtrip airport transfer while others may provide an escort or meeting point. Arrival logistics will be handled by your dedicated concierge as well as other concierge needs. The property's transfer policy will be listed under the Policies section.
What to expect upon arrival? click to open
In general, a villa orientation will be provided along with a key turnover. During the orientation, information and instructions for the property will be provided. Emergency contact information will be provided. We are available 7 days a week to assist with any urgent needs.
The arrival procedures due vary from villa to villa, select villas may include welcome provisioning while other properties will provide basic arrival information.
What is the cancellation policy? click to open
Since these vacation homes are one of a kind properties, the cancellation policy is strict. We highly recommend considering trip/travel insurance to protect against any unexpected cancellations or issues that may arise.

What happens if the property becomes unavailable after I reserve? click to open
In the unlikely event, the rented property becomes unavailable due to a major issue that may affect a guest's experience or a transfer of ownership, Barbados Blue will coordinate with the property manager to find an alternate property of equal or superior standard that is subject to the guest's approval. If an alternate property is not acceptable to the guest, the guest will receive a full refund.

Yes, we accept all major credit cards. American Express, Visa, Mastercard and Discover are accepted. Please note that credit card charges may be subject to additional fees. There are no fees with payment by wire transfer or check.
In the near future, we expect to accept a greater variety of payment methods and currencies via Stripe.
Is housekeeping included? click to open
Housekeeping tends to be a standard among vacation homes but the frequency may vary greatly depending on the property manager’s standards. Most properties will offer daily housekeeping (except Sunday and holidays) while other villas may only provide a mid-week cleaning. Please refer to the Policies section to learn about the housekeeping frequency of the property.
Are towels and linens provided? click to open
Yes. The property will provide bath and pool towels along with linens. Towels and linens will be refreshed as needed.
Are toiletries and tissues provided? click to open
A property may supply an initial supply of soap, shampoo, toilet paper and paper towels but replenishment of supplies once exhausted may be the responsibility of the guest. Each property varies in their handling of toiletries and paper products.
Is a hair dryer available? click to open
A hair dryer should be available at the property. Upon arrival, please check the bathrooms or closet. Typically, a hair dryer is included in each bathroom.
Is an iron included? click to open
Typically yes, irons tend to be standard equipment for vacation homes. Please ask the property representative upon orientation for the location of the iron.

KINDLY SEE BELOW COVID-19 PROTOCOLS FOR SUGAR HILL DEVELOPMENT:

* Temperature checks will be implemeted by security officers upon entry. Anyone with a temperature exceeding 38C will not be able to access the property. As there is only onepoint of entry, there could be delays and persons may be asked to wait in the car parking area to have the checks completed.
*The restaurant office in the clubhouse will be the dedicated quarantine room if needed.
*The gym is open from Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm with only 2 persons allowed in at any one time. It’s fresh air only no air conditioning.
*The pools are open, with reduced seating.
*The tennis courts are open and tennis clinics are being offered on Mondays.
*The restaurant will remain closed for the present. 
*The Reception area will remain closed until further notice.

Monkey Hill was a fantastic house to stay in. I couldn't believe that the house looked exactly how it was advertised, since it looked too good to be true! All the rooms were beautiful and clean, and we loved that each bedroom had its own bathroom. We spent all of our time at the house sitting outside by the pool since it had such a lovely view looking out over the island and the ocean. The sunsets were gorgeous from the backyard. We also saw monkeys in the trees which was very fun. Sonia, the housekeeper, was wonderful. She was extremely helpful and did a great job keeping the house clean for us. The house is in a gated community with beautiful homes. Natalie was very quick to communicate with me through airbnb and answered all of my questions. She gave me very detailed instructions on how to drive to the house. I can't say enough about how luxurious this house is. We loved it!

My family and I just returned from a week at Monkey Hill villa in Sugar Hills. The villa is spectacular with all the luxury's of a 5 star resort. Pride of ownership truly is evident in all facets of the home. The owners attention to detail shines through in the unique style of each bedroom and common areas. Our house manager (Sonia) was a pleasure and took great care of all our family's needs. The chef (Dennis) wowed us in creating some tasteful island treats. The villa is close to many of Barbados top beaches and restaurants on the gold coast yet you feel secluded when you take a moment to relax on the beautiful poolside deck. The amenities of Sugar Hill are very nice (club pool, restaurant, tennis courts) and security is very good. If you rent this villa please take care of it as we plan to return again and again...
